There are words that go unspoken
In the bustle of the day
And when the night descends,
They'll attack in every way.

I fear their bitter-sweetness,
And the painful aftermath
Because I couldn't lean upon His strength
I deserve His righteous wrath!

But as my soul hovers
On a sea of wrongful deeds,
I suddenly consider
How my sins reflect my needs.

I whisper out into the vast;
I know my God is there.
And there is hope within this heart,
For He hears my raw despair.

And as I look, a star appears,
My mind sees what it fears;
The hand of my mighty Lord
Is stretched beyond the skies.

For He created everything,
And I am but tiny, and unworthy.
Insignificant
- yet He has shown His mercy.

I can be saved, I will be saved,
That I may feel His warmth
And free myself from bitter-sweet,
My Maker, finally, to meet.
