Soft and swiftly
Departure takes place
Off to the unknown
They bravely face

  Over those waters
So deep and dark
Under those clouds
Loud thunder they hark

  And stop they will not
Those small little souls
For unto that far land
They will carry their toils

  What will those poor
Little creatures see?
The loveliest sunrise?
Hidden from you and me?

  Or the worst of all storms?
With waves ten feet high?
But those strong little things
Will surely not die!

  Though small they may be
And perish they will
God's hand may be over them
For no one to kill

To the unknown they long
For they soon will be back again
And with them, their song!
